Present simple (part 1)

Used to describe: 
  • General truths, facts, laws... Example: The sum of the angles in a triangle is 180 degrees; A square has four equal sides.
  • Also it is used for habitual actions, routines: Teachers explain mathematical concepts before starting exercises.
Verbs form:
  • I live, She lives
  • We don't live, He doesn't live
  • Do we live, Does it live
Frequently time expressions:
  • Always, 
  • frequently, 
  • usually, 
  • often, 
  • generally, 
  • sometimes, 
  • rarely, 
  • once a week...
State verbs:
  • knowledge and beliefs: believe, doubt, hope, imagine, know, think, understand, remember
  • sentidos y sentimientos: like, smell, hate, need, taste, hear.
